AJ Design NCL aims to offer people around Newcastle and the North East a wide range of architectural and building planning and regulatory services. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and cost-effective service with a fantastic end result for our clients, meeting their practical and aesthetic needs.

Aidan Jackson runs the company and has almost 50 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked for many years at the drawing board as an architectural technician before progressing into architectural design management for large construction companies including Carillion, Willmott Dixon and Clugston. 

In recent years Aidan has taken leading roles in multi-million pound residential, commercial and public sector projects  including housing estates, offices, hospitals, schools, leisure centres and even fire depots across the UK.

In 2020, spurred by the pandemic, Aidan took the exciting leap to working freelance and would be happy to talk to you about your requirements big or small.

Aidan lives in Forest Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne with his wife Carolyn and children Daniel and Emily. He enjoys getting his hands dirty with DIY and gardening, painting (especially in sunnier climates) and spending time with friends and family.
